23. The Committee remains concerned, in spite of the steps taken by the State party, about continued reports of trafficking in women and children for sexual exploitation and abuse (art. 10).
The Committee encourages the State party to further strengthen measures to combat trafficking in women and children and combat the sexual exploitation, abuse and prostitution of children by, inter alia developing programs to address the root causes of trafficking and sexual exploitation of women and children. The Committee also encourages again the State party to adopt its comprehensive draft Law on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, which would provide for a system of bodies to combat trafficking and contain provisions concerning prevention of trafficking, as well as protection and rehabilitation of victims.
